In 2016-2017, BCSC awarded over $29,000 in educational scholarships to students in our local community.

Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or a family member of an active, retired or deceased U.S. military service member or DoD civilian whose family resides within the USAG-Bavaria Military Community at the time the scholarship is awarded
Applicant must have a valid DD Form 1173 Military Identification Card.
Applicants awarded an educational scholarship from the BCSC for the 2017-2018 scholarship year are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Applicant may only apply for one scholarship type (either academic or technical/vocational).
Either yourself or a parent/legal guardian, if under 18 years of age, must be a member of the Bavaria Community Spouses’ Club. For more information on becoming a member please go to www.bavariacsc.com.
Conditions of the Scholarship Award
The scholarship will be applied to classes taken toward your degree. The scholarship is for payment of tuition, books, laboratory fees, and exam fees.
Scholarship awards will be made payable to the financial office of chosen institution of higher learning. In certain cases, a check may be made payable directly to the student. In these situations, the BCSC must be notified as soon as possible in order to receive reimbursement.
All awards from October applications must be applied by Friday, April 27, 2018, or the balance of the scholarship will be forfeited. All awards from the April applications must be applied by Friday, October 26, 2018, or the balance of the scholarship will be forfeited.
The Bavaria Community and Spouses' Club Scholarship Committee reserves the right to deny any application where there is evidence of fraud and or abuse, incomplete applications, or an inappropriate request of funds based on our Mission. The Bavaria Community and Spouses' Club reserves the right to make final decisions on all applications and use of funds.
To ensure fairness and impartiality, judging is done anonymously. The applicant will create an applicant code (consisting of the last letter of the first name, last letter of the last name, last four of the applicant’s social security number and either AC for the academic application or TV for the technical/vocational application) (i.e. John Smith – NH3245AC). The applicant will write the applicant code in the upper right corner of all pages in the application. Committee members and applicants names will not be divulged.
