Applicant Eligibility BCSC awards grants to organizations in the local community. For the intent of grant distribution, “local community” is defined as Rose Barracks and Tower Barracks organizations. Grants may be issued to local, national and international organizations; however, priority is given to organizations that will directly benefit the local community. Organizations must have their own, official bank account to be considered. These organizations can be Soldier Family Readiness Groups, school groups, athletic teams, church groups, educational clubs and community organizations throughout the Tower Barracks and Rose Barracks communities. Grant recipients are required to provide at least 10 volunteer hours per calendar year to BCSC in the form of volunteer hours at the annual Crown Jewel Bazaar, at either Grafenwoehr or Vilseck Thrift Shops, or at other volunteer opportunities presented by BCSC.
