On-Call Clerk (Contractor) - Grafenwoehr and/or Vilseck location

BCSC is looking for an on-call contractor to fill in as needed in the clerk position at the Grafenwoehr and Vilseck Thrift Shops.
Job Description
When on duty, the on-call contractor will perform the following tasks:
⦁ Maintain designated Cashier area within the Thrift Shop.
⦁ Complete Sales Transactions and be responsible for the cash drawer
⦁ Be knowledgeable in all areas of the Thrift Shop so as to correctly answer customer´s questions or direct them to the Store Manager.
⦁ Be flexible and work as a team.
⦁ Clean & straighten sales floor as needed, sort & price donations, restock sales floor as needed.
⦁ Responsible for light cleaning of the store to include sanitizing of high traffic areas and sweeping as necessary.
⦁ Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
⦁ Read & follow all guidelines and job responsibilities set forth in the Bavaria Community & Spouses Club Thrift Shop Standard Operating Procedures.
Work Hours
On an on-call basis, up to 22-25 hours per week and one Saturday per month. BCSC Thrift Shop operation hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 AM -5:30 PM and one Saturday per month from 9:30 AM -2:30 PM. Hours are subject to change based on the changing needs of the community.
Compensation
Compensation is based on commission, and will be further detailed in candidate interviews.
Applicant Information
Applicants must be a D.O.D. ID card holder, hold a U.S. passport or passport from a NATO country (besides Germany) and be 18 years or older. The applicant must have reliable transportation.

Selected applicants will be asked to come in for in-person interviews with members of the Thrift Shop Advisory Comittee.
